Welcome at the Strandhotel!

General
The Strandhotel is a small family hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The management is in the hands of the same family now for almost 30 years. The hotel was originally a luxurious and spacious villa, built at the seaside, as did a lot of rich people in the beginning of the 20th century. It is situated at the utmost northern part of the Scheveningen Boulevard, near the dunes and nature reserve Meyendel.

The hotel has a nice and cosy entrance and lounge with an open fireplace and furniture in Victorian style. Because of the many steps and stairs in the house the hotel is not very well equipped for disabled people. Just the apartment and a few rooms on the ground floor can be reached without using stairs.

Breakfast
Every morning breakfast is served in the dining room. Here you'll have a wide and undisturbed view on the North Sea while enjoying your meal. We don't serve lunch or dinner, but will be glad to advise you about the possibilities in Scheveningen.
From 10.00 am. until closing hours of the reception it is possible to order cold and hot drinks, which you can enjoy in the lounge, the dining room or in your hotel room.

Checking in
Normally, the rooms will be at your disposal from 3 pm. If you are arriving at an earlier time for whatever reason we will try to prepare the room for you as soon as possible. Please mention your planned time of arrival in the reservation form then!
You should be able to legitimate yourself on arrival. In the Netherlands you always have to carry your identity card, driver’s license or passport with you.

Checking out
The day you check out the rooms should be left by 11 am. If you will be staying in Scheveningen for the rest of the  day, and leave later, you can leave your luggage at the reception desk.

Parking
For our guests we have a limited number of parking allowances. With these you can park your car in the neighbourhood, on the street, for a period lasting from the time you start parking until 12.00 am. the next day. The parking rate for one period is € 10,=.
Off season the parking "Zwarte Pad", a 3 minutes walk from the hotel, is free. For further information about parking at Scheveningen click here.

Smoking not allowed
Since it is illegal in the Netherlands to smoke in hotels, restaurants and coffee houses it is not allowed to smoke anywhere in the Strandhotel either.

Dogs
We welcome small dogs to our hotel under the following conditions:

• You should mention it in your reservation,
• The rate per night is € 15,00,
• There is only 1 dog allowed in each room,
• Until breakfast is over (10.00 am.) dogs are not allowed in the dining room,
• Please take a bench, blanket or whatever it is used to, to give your pet its " own"  place.
