Tourist tax is a municipal tax for paid accommodation in Scheveningen. The city council of Scheveningen requires every tourist to pay EUR 6.20 per person, per night tourist tax for accommodation to improve the city and its facilities. Taxes are levied in Scheveningen, as in many other municipalities in the Netherlands.

Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM. If you would like to check in after 9:30 PM, please contact us directly on the day of arrival.

If you arrive before 3:00 PM and your room is not ready, you can leave your luggage with us free of charge.

The hotel is easily accessible by public transport. From the train stations in The Hague there are direct tram and bus connections that take you directly to our hotel. For more detailed instructions, please contact us or visit 9292.nl.

The Strandhotel does not have its own parking. We advise our guests to park in the Interparking Boulevard garage. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve a spot in this parking garage in advance. If, on the day of arrival, it is difficult to reach this parking due to traffic, we recommend parking at APCOA Parking Strand.

You can choose between a stay including or excluding breakfast. If you reserve your breakfast before or during check-in, the rate is € 17.50* per person per day. For reservations made after check-in, or for guests not staying overnight, the price is € 25.00 per person per day.

* The standard breakfast rate is € 25.00. For breakfast reservations made by the time of check-in, a discount of € 7.50 per person is applied to the room rate.

Of course! We can help you arrange beach activities before arrival, or you can speak to us directly at reception during your stay. We are happy to help you!

We provide our guest the option to use our beach towel during their stay. The beach towels can be collected, and returned after use, at the reception free of charge.

Pets are not allowed in Strandhotel Scheveningen. Assistance or guide dogs are an exception to this.

Unfortunately, we do not offer lunch or dinner. However, we do have some favorite restaurants in the area that we can recommend!

We do our best to accommodate all dietary requirements. Please inform us in advance, and we will do our utmost to meet your needs.

Strandhotel Scheveningen is housed in two traditional villas with many original details, small steps, elevations and narrow passageways that contribute to the charming ambiance, but may make access difficult for people with mobility problems. However, we do have a number of rooms that are accessed directly from street level and may be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Smoking is not permitted inside the Strandhotel or in the rooms. A fine of €250 will be charged for smoking in the hotel. However, smoking is allowed on the terrace.

The standard check out time is 11:00 am. However, when you’ve booked a room via our hotel website you can select a free ‘Late check out’ at 12:00 am. For an extra late check out at 2:00 pm, we charge € 25,00 (depending on the availabilty).

Leaving earlier is certainly possible. Please note that cancellation policies may apply.

With a flexible rate of 3 days you can cancel your reservation free of charge if you do this more than 3 days before the arrival date. For a flexible rate of 14 days, cancellation is free of charge if this happens more than 14 days before the arrival date. To be eligible for free cancellation, you must always arrange this in a timely manner via the reservation channel you used.

In case of cancellation, the guest is liable for 100% of the value of the reservation. Changes or cancellations are not possible.
